Mom the Photographer?

So inspired by Grandpa's photo shoot... I tried my own hand at it. Some turned out ok!

This is Lauren mid-roll.

Lauren is such a happy baby!

Here is one of her full-body smiles. I love these, they come right from the tips of her toes!

Emelia decided Lauren must be cold. So she put her own shorts on her sister.

Both the girls were blessed with these beautiful blue eyes! They are already heartbreakers.

I love when they play together. It's just the beginning of their sisterhood. I don't wear rose-colored glasses and I know they are going to fight a lot too. :)

This is one of my favorite pictures!

You can really see the difference in size when they are side-by-side. It makes me a little nostalgic!

Here is Emelia trying to help Lauren!

It looks a bit like Emelia is beating up Lauren... As I recall, she did indeed push her sister over. Sigh.

Grandpa the Photographer

Grandpa took these pictures of Lauren early one day. They turned out so cute! Lauren is 4.5 months old here.

And Lauren sure does love her feet!

Emelia's Party

We had a small party for Emelia. Here's the Birthday Girl! She has grown so much in the last 2 years.

Here are all the party guests! Minus Grandma and Grandpa who were both behind the camera. The legs on the left belong to Tim and Laura. The half-head is Scott.

Of course Little Sister Lauren was invited.

If you want to have the best gift at a 2 year old's party... GET THE PRETTIEST BOW!

This neat footstool came from a craft fair (I think). Emelia loves it. Thanks Great Tante Helen and Oom Greg!

And of course no party is complete without balloons. Always a favorite. But there I am with Opa playing with toys. :) We had to figure out how they worked, of course!

Emelia's 2!

Emelia's 2! Ok well she turned 2 quite some time ago, but leave it to me to neglect the blog. :)

Here's the birthday girl herself!

I asked Emelia what kind of cake she wanted and she said, "Mommy, I want pink cake." So I made her a pink cake!

She tried so hard to blow out the candles... Attempt #1...

Attempt #2...

Attempt #3...

She may have gotten a little help after this one. :)

Here's a sweet picture of kissing Grandma!

And Emelia being... well... herself!

Overall quite a success. We had sang, had cake, and opened a few presents.

Emelia Times 2!

I'm pretty sure my kids might be related...

It's kind of like looking at Emelia as a baby, only 2 years later. If I ever lose one, I've always got a spare! I've got my very own Mini-Me and Maxi-Me.

Loves And Hugs

Lauren is such a happy baby!

I told her to sit next to her sister(doubly throwing caution to the wind by first sitting the baby in the bumbo on the table, then asking a not-quite-two-year-old to sit next to her!). Emelia obliged but notice that she is sitting backwards and has such a sassy look on her face. I.am.in.TROUBLE with these two!

Awww! Totally spontanious sisterly affection. She went on to pose for many more pictures while hugging her sisters head. Lauren looks sort of confused and/or terrified in most.

Here, though, both are smiling and hugging and looking precious. Sigh.

She just said, "Just Me-Me-AH, Mama!" I think that means "Just Emelia, mama!";)

Blowing Bubbles

Emelia has always loved bubbles but she recently learned how to blow them herself and they have taken on a whole new meaning. It's so much fun to discover bubbles again through the eyes of a toddler(and infant! Lauren's love affair is just starting). We had so much fun blowing bubbles this afternoon:) Check out my girls!

Isn't she clever?! Doing it all by herself.

She is understandably very proud. Um, wouldn't you be?

Lauren watch with bemused confusion. Check out her pretty baby-blues=)

Such concentration on her little face. So cute.

Best BIG "Brother" EVER!

This is our cat, Monster Truck. He earned his name by being a hefty 33ish pounds when we got him 2 years ago. He has since trimmed down to a svelt 25 lbs but as you can see, he is enormous! He easily dwarfs both my children when you sit them side-by-side. See for yourself!

Lauren and the cat look none-too-pleased to be posed for this photo-op.

Emelia loves MT! Especially when he drinks from her baby-bottle.

Newborn Lauren poses with Monster Truck. Don't worry, someone was close by in case he decided to eat her up in two small bites;) She's pretty delectable, so I wouldn't blame him.
Love the look of abject terror on Lauren's face. You can almost read the thought-bubble above her head saying, "You stuck a NEWBORN with a cat this huge?! WTF, mom?"

Sister Act

How could you resist these sweet little faces?! These are my girls and this is their blog. It will feature all the latest and greatest pictures, videos and information about my beautiful babies. Forgive me if it doesn't get updated regularly, though. Those who know me personally know how hectic and crazy my life can get sometimes! Enjoy=)
